COC Ladies in Fellowship

This are the ladies of the Zamboanga City Church of Christ. I've been attending this class --- which is led by my mother, since I got back from my 6 months schooling in Manila and I am really enjoying this group of mixed-age ladies. We meet every Friday, 5 to 8pm. We get to sing songs, study the WOrd and share each other's life stories during the class. I'm always looking forward for Friday every week because of this class and these fun ladies and I thank God for being part of it.

So every time a Sister celebrates her birthday, the group usually eat out after the class and hang out. And eating out is one of the ladies favorite activity. We just love food. Last Friday, we celebrated Sister Eliza West's 67th birthday and we went to our favorite Filipino Restaurant, Hacienda de Palmeras. We had so much fun and as I show some pictures, we love posing and smiling in front of the camera. Haha! :)

The birthday celebrant Sis. Eliza and her lovely daughter Sis Pamela. :)

Together with some of the ladies. :)

My Mom praying for the birthday celebrant and for the food.

The camera got me. My aunt always uses me as her subject when she's setting her camera. LOL!

Group picture after that delicious dinner. :)

Till next blog entry. Xoxo Joanna <3

Casual Blue: The Look

I am really not a big spender on clothes and shoes even though I am in love with fashion, so I just mix and match what I have in my tiny little closet, and I say that literally.

I always believe that you can be fashionable and have your own style even without having so many clothes, shoes and expensive signature brands. I am like the "Fashion for Less" kinda girl.

So, my last or recent entry was Casual Blue: Makeup Look. Well makeup is my forte so I focus more on the makeup than the fashion. When I did this photo shoot I said, why not dress up a little? ;)

(The look: Yellow top and blue skirt, SM Department Store Teen Section; brown suede shoes, Parisian; blue feather earrings, local thrift store Mix and Match)

Casual Blue: Makeup Look

At last, I have a decent photo of a makeup look. Thank God I have my Aunt as my photographer and I don't have to go back and forth to the camera and fixing the tripod because its set on timer. :)

So here's another makeup look by me. I call it the Casual Blue. It's a casual look, good for spring and summer although its fall season now. Well, I live in the Philippines so it'll do when its always summer here.

I was thinking of showing photos of the products I used in this look like my first makeup entry but I thought it would be better to just provide the names of the products and the shade.

So first for the face, Celeteque for cleansing, toning and moisturizing. You can use a BB Cream as a face primer. If you have a face primer, that would be awesome. I recommend Shu Uemura for asian skins and sensitive skins. I used Shu Uemura Face Architect Illuminating Moisture for my foundation. Loose powder for setting. I use Face to Face Translucent Loose Powder. For eyebrows, The Body Shop Brow Set. Face contouring, Make Up For Ever Sculpting Kit. It is very important to contour your face especially when doing photo shoots. Camera flash can flatten your face and trust me, its not flattering to see. Eye primer, MAC Paint Pot in Groundwork. Eyeshadow, I used Shu Uemura's limited edition WkW for Shu Uemura Burning in Water Palette. Eyeliner, Make Up For Ever Cream Eyeliner Black and Maybelline Falsies Mascara for the lashes. Attach false lashes for extra drama and for fuller lashes for the photo shoot. For the blush I used MAC Blush in Buff and Revlon Lip Butter in Pink Truffle for the lips. Make sure to line the lips with a lip liner before applying lipstick. I used Bobbi Brown.

What's your makeup look? Have fun with makeup! Xoxo Joanna <3
